Needle Holders

The HiQ+ needle holder instruments are a two-piece system that come in 33 cm and 43 cm lengths. They feature a clam shell handle that is combined with the shaft in a single unit. Olympus® engineers worked closely together with ergonomics experts to design the handle.

Jaw Patterns

The HiQ+ needle holder is available with five interchangeable jaws. The options include left-curved, right-curved, straight, self-alignment, and assistant needle holders.

Two-Piece Modular System

The two-piece modular design allows for the assembly, disassembly, cleaning, and sterilization of the individual components.

Handle Design

The HiQ+ needle holder handle is a clamshell design that incorporates a release button to disengage the ratchet.

The Olympus® hand instruments are specifically designed for endoscopic diagnosis and treatment during the thoracoscopic and laparoscopic procedures within the peritoneal and thoracic cavities. These devices do not have any absolute contraindications against laparoscopy/thoracoscopy which would not equally apply to open surgery in general. The operating physician must judge according to professional standards whether a specific procedure is appropriate.
